{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"59d7fcdcd154efcb8cd0e514","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/59d7fcdcd154efcb8cd0e514","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/59d7fcdcd154efcb8cd0e514","title":"Scientist","description":"Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications:\nPOSITION SUMMARY\nThe Scientist III is responsible for performing routine sample analysis, LCMS and/or HPLC analytical techniques accurately and efficiently following SRL procedures.\nSCHEDULE:\nShift 1 (9:30 am - 6pm), Tues- Sat\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nPerforms production sample runs.\nPrepares solutions such as mobile phases and buffers\nPerforms validation experiments.\nWorks independently, plans and conducts laboratory work\nPerforms routine tasks with high efficiency\nTrains and guides new testing personnel\nCleans laboratory glassware and helps maintain lab orderliness\nDocuments promptly and clearly all procedural processes\nPerforms automated and routine extractions\n\nPerforms LCMS and/or ICPMS analysis following specified SRL procedures.\nMonitors LCMS and/or HPLC system performance to ensure quality of results\nIndependently troubleshoots assays and instrumentation\nProcesses data following SRL procedures and guidelines\nMakes and records observations and performs mathematical calculations\nMaintains and calibrates instrumentation and equipment as required\n\nAssists with administrative duties.\nFiles documentation associated with daily production runs.\nMakes copies of relative forms used for production and validation.\nAssists with maintaining laboratory inventory and requesting supply orders\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEDUCATION:\nBachelors degree in a scientific field\n\nEXPERIENCE:\n3+ years laboratory related experience\n3 years LCMS\n3 years extraction experience\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nAbility to understand written and verbal instructions.\nMust be able to work well with variety of laboratory personnel.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nBasic computer knowledge.\nMust be able to work with frequent interruptions and fluctuations in workload.\nAbility to set and meet deadlines with high quality work.\nAbility to understand graphs, tables, charts and perform calculations needed for the task.\nAbility to follow and implement policies and Standard Operating Procedures.\n\nLICENSE/CERTIFICATION:\nNone required.\nScheduled Weekly Hours:\n40\nWork Shift:\nJob Category:\nLaboratory Operations\nCompany:\nSonic Reference Laboratory, Inc\nSonic Healthcare USA is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace for all employees.
