Production Planner

We are looking for an experienced Materials Planner / Production Scheduler, this highly visible, hands-on role plays a critical part in ensuring production efficiency, material availability, on-time delivery, and exceptional customer satisfaction.As a key member of the Operations team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service, and outside vendors to optimize production flow and support customer demand.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain customer forecasts, master production schedules, and procurement plans based on historical demand and sales opportunitiesMonitor inventory levels and material availability to support uninterrupted production and on-time customer deliveryReview and adjust production schedules and material requirements in response to changing customer demandCoordinate outsourced vendor operations including coating, heat treating, purchased cores, and other external processing activitiesAnalyze material shortages, forecast fluctuations, and inventory risks while partnering with Purchasing and Operations to resolve issues proactivelyMaintain accurate ERP system data including bills of materials, planning parameters, and customer part numbersSchedule plant production activities based on operational capacity and customer prioritiesSupport shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillmentAssist customers with order changes, logistics coordination, and quality-related concernsParticipate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and process optimizationCandidates should possess:5+ years of experience:managing customer forecasts, production schedules, and inventory planning in a manufacturing environmentManaging customer forecasts, production, schedules, and inventory planningUnderstanding of shipping, receiving, and logistics processesAbility to analyze production schedules, inventory reports, and planning data to make informed operational decisions
