As we continue to elevate our brand and customer engagement, we are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-driven Event Coordinator to join our Marketing team.This is a highly visible and mission-critical role responsible for delivering seamless, high-impact events that reflect Makino’s premium brand experience—both domestically and globally.Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Marketing, the Event Coordinator will play a key role in planning and executing tradeshows, corporate events, technical center experiences, and global customer engagements. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Operations, Finance, and international affiliates to ensure every event is executed flawlessly.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, and brings a passion for creating memorable, high-quality event experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute domestic and international tradeshows, including logistics such as hotel blocks, transportation, catering, booth services, and vendor coordinationManage all booth-related logistics including graphics, displays, demo equipment, technical documentation, and marketing collateralCoordinate shipping, tracking, setup, teardown, and storage of all event materials and assetsMaintain accurate inventory of tradeshow equipment, parts displays, and event materialsProvide on-site event support to ensure smooth execution and immediate issue resolutionCoordinate events at Makino’s Mason Headquarters, including industry events, open houses, Lunch & Learns, and Experience Center productionsSupport Auburn Hills Technical Center events such as Tech Expos and customer engagement programsAssist with international and regional affiliate events, including customer visits and product launchesPartner with Sales, Product Management, and Technical teams to ensure readiness of machines, demos, and customer experiencesManage event budgets, track expenses, process invoices, and reconcile final costsMaintain a master event calendar and detailed project timelinesDeliver post-event reporting, including attendance metrics, budget summaries, and performance insightsCreate professional communications for vendors, customers, and internal stakeholdersEnsure all events align with Makino’s brand standards and deliver an exceptional customer experienceQualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience in event coordination, tradeshow management, or corporate event planning (B2B or manufacturing environment preferred)Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly detail-oriented with exceptional time management abilitiesProven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong problem-solving skills and professional presenceProficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationallyAbility to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods during eventsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree required (Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred)At least 2 years of event planning or coordination experience requiredExperience supporting large-scale events such as tradeshows, customer events, or international programs preferredFamiliarity with marketing tools, event platforms, or databases is a plusBenefits IncludeComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageCompetitive pay and retirement savings optionsGenerous paid time off and company holidaysOnsite fitness centerOnsite café with convenient meal optionsCollaborative, team-oriented environmentOpportunities for growth within a global organizationMakino is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities
