Plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience. Use of hand files or portable grinders, to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts. Drills, taps or reams holes, using portable drill. Aligns components, and bolts or screws using hand tools or portable powered tools. Installs moving parts, for example shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement. Test or assist in testing operation of completed product lines. Uncrating equipment from suppliers for production and crating equipment for shipment. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAssembly:\nAssemble trailers, machines and other sub-assemblies.\nRead and interpret process documentation, drawings, prints, diagrams, and/or schematics.\nPull parts from inventory to assemble trailers.\nComplete paperwork such as work orders, forms and checklists associated with assembly of device.\nBasic testing, troubleshooting and inspection of assembled products for defects and quality.\nDocument and update assembly processes as necessary.\nWarehouse:\nUncrating equipment from suppliers to get sub-assemblies ready for final assembly and test.\nCrating of equipment for shipment to customer.\nAssist loading and unloading of container shipments and trucks\nHelp organize and track equipment inventory in warehouse.\nMiscellaneous:\nMaintain inventory accuracy. Participate in cycle counting program. Notify Supervisor of count discrepancies and shortages.\nTrain other co-workers as needed.\nWork Safely.
