This role will oversee engineering lab operations, maintenance, and improvements while supporting electro-mechanical testing, test automation, robotics, and data acquisition\n\n- Starting compensation is based on experience.\n- No H1 Sponsorship.\n- Must Already be in Mountain View, CA or willing to relocate at own cost\n\nPrimary Responsibilities/Tasks:\n\nSet up, configure, and execute engineering test procedures, sensor instrumentation, and automated data collection pipelines according to technical documentation.\nDevelop, maintain, and execute automation routines and DAQ test sequences using LabVIEW and scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++).\nIntegrate, program, and maintain robotic fixtures, actuators, and automated test stations to support repeatable life-cycle and stress testing.\nManage hardware and software computer setups, driver installations, firmware flashing, and network configurations for lab instruments.\nEnsure lab spaces and test cells are organized, calibrated, safe, and maintained for maximum operational efficiency.\nActively participate in internal testing across all phases of product development\nPrepare clear, structured reports, dashboards, and visualizations summarizing test results, automated telemetry, and anomaly detections.\nAuthor and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and automation user manuals.\n\nQualifications\n\nWork Experience Requirements:\n\nDemonstrated hands-on experience developing or operating LabVIEW applications for instrument control, sensor interfacing, and automated data acquisition.\nExperience integrating, troubleshooting, or programming robotics and automation systems (e.g., robotic arms, linear actuators, PLCs, motor drivers, automated pick-and-place fixtures).\nHands-on background executing reliability, environmental, mechanical, and stress tests (thermal chambers, vibration tables, tensile/Instron testing).\nStrong analytical mindset capable of deep-diving into unexpected test anomalies, system crashes, or sensor drift rather than purely executing repetitive routines.\nProficiency in analyzing and summarizing large datasets using Python, MATLAB, spreadsheets, and presentation decks.\nSolid understanding of electrical/electronic instrumentation: oscilloscopes, DMMs, strain gauges, accelerometers, power supplies, and thermocouples.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and software architecture flowcharts.\nResponsible management of lab safety, equipment interlocks, fixture mounting, and ESD safe handling.\n\nEducation Requirements: Bachelor of Science in related engineering major (ME, EE, CE, etc.)\n\nThe Ideal Candidate.
