Part Time Lead cook

Be a dependable team player! Sense of urgency! Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area. Assist chef/owner cooking on the line. Some shifts will include cooking large batch sauces etc. Keeps up with peak production and service hours. Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies. Tracks product production, consumption, and waste. Informs Chef when supplies or product are low. Coordinates activities of cooks and other food service associates in the absence of Chef Familiar with industries best practices. Requires ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and some holidays in addition to normal business hours. Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures. This is a hands-on position. Must have current and valid food handlers permits. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Performs other duties as assigned. Skills: - Strong knowledge of food service operations. - Proven experience as a cook or lead cook in the food industry, such as a restaurant or culinary establishment - Excellent cooking skills and ability to prepare a variety of dishes - Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency - Strong leadership and communication skills Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
