If you have experience in building maintenance, enjoy hands‑on work, and want a role where every day is different, we’d love to meet you.About the RoleThe Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the hotel’s building, equipment, and grounds. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and high‑quality guest experience while staying within budget guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide friendly, professional service to all guestsInspect and maintain hotel systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and refrigerationRespond quickly to maintenance requests and resolve guest concernsPerform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, guest rooms, and public areasMaintain landscaping, parking areas, and outdoor spacesComplete routine room maintenance to meet brand standardsPerform general repair tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and carpet cleaningMaintain inventory of tools and suppliesKeep mechanical rooms and storage areas clean and organizedFollow all hotel safety and security proceduresCommunicate issues promptly to managementPerform other duties as assignedSkills & QualificationsStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyGood organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsGeneral knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and small equipmentAbility to prioritize tasks with minimal disruption to guestsWillingness to obtain CPO certification if requiredPrevious maintenance or facilities experience preferred, but not requiredPhysical RequirementsThis role involves regular indoor and outdoor work, including:Standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout the shiftWorking with tools, equipment, chemicals, and cleaning agentsExposure to varying temperatures and weather conditionsCompensation & BenefitsStarting at $17/hour, depending on experienceFull‑time and part‑time positions availableFlexible scheduling; some evenings or weekends may be requiredFull‑time benefits include:Medical insurance with reduced‑premium optionsHealth Savings Account (HSA) eligibilityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Paid Time Off (PTO)Why Join Us?At Country Inn & Suites, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values reliability, craftsmanship, and great guest experiences.
