Surgical Tech Location: Arroyo Grande, CA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,733 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Tech Specialty: OR Scrub Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, ACLS preferred, CST preferred Must-Have: - Ability to handle a variety of surgical cases - Familiarity with EMR system - Commitment to high-quality patient care Description: Unit has 7 operating suites. Approximately 18-20 cases are performed each day. Certified Surgical Technologists preferred. Staffing ratios will be 1:1 or 2:1. Charge nurse and OR techs are present. Weekends are not required for registered nurses. Weekends are not required for surgical techs. On-call requirements for registered nurses include some nights and weekends. On-call requirements for surgical techs include some nights and weekends. On-call response time is 30 minutes. Holiday work may be required. Scrub color and supplies are provided. Telemedicine system utilized is Phillips. Ventilators are available. Surgeon on-call coverage is 24/7. RT and pharmacy services are available 24/7. Shifts are variable, either 8 or 10 hours. Floating is limited to pre and post-operative care only. Floor-specific orientation is provided. Common types of cases include laparoscopic, bariatrics, orthopedic, neurological, urological, gynecological, and ENT. Scrubbing is not required for registered nurses but is preferred. Sterile processing certification is either IAHCSMM or CBSPD. Equipment in use includes Steris and Sterrad. Duties include assembly of surgical sets and decontamination tasks. Cancellation policy allows the facility to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting system utilized is Cerner. Trauma level is acute. Care setting is within an acute environment.
