Laboratory Manager

Treves CTA in Corbin, KY, is seeking a dynamic and highly organized auto manufacturing Laboratory Manager to manage requests for the testing laboratory in accordance with customer requirements. In this pivotal role, manage the subcontracting of tests and its optimization, guarantee the follow-up of the equipment for the realization of the tests, and provide feedback.1. Coordination:Plan tests, analyze requests - Set up schedules with the help of technicians - Ensure compliance with deadlines and costs.Manage the self-approval of the laboratory (assessment part, documentary management, audit, follow-up on action plan and notification), and the follow-up of the other laboratories of the group.2. Performing testsCarry out the measurements necessary for the verification and/or characterization of materials and products, in collaboration with the requesting departments (Research and Expertise Department, Technical and Projects Department) .Carry out the tests and work requested in accordance with internal procedures, safety instructions and operating methods.Participate in the analysis of the results by ensuring that they are used appropriately (objective criticism of the method, comments and recommendations), by proposing additional validation protocols if necessary.Propose technical solutions to the Research and Expertise Department and to the Technical Department.3. Management of resources and associated documents :Guarantee the maintenance and calibration of test equipment.Manage the list of site measurement and testing resources.Manage operating and investment budgets.ExperienceBachelor's degree preferred.Proven experience (5 to 10 years) managing an automotive laboratory environment.Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in an automotive manufacturing setting; ability to motivate and develop team members.
