And whoever we’re with, whatever we’re doing, we always make it real.\nJob Description:\n\nThe Material Handler is responsible for moving production and material throughout the facility and on and off trucks by driving gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, clamps, and elevating platform.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nLoads, unloads, and moves product, ingredients, and other material with a forklift throughout the plant and surrounding area in a safe manner following all safety procedures.\nBecome and maintain certification to operator a forklift\nEnsure proper operation of all processing equipment for area they are trained and ensuring the quality of product as specified by customer orders. Assist operators as necessary.\nWeigh materials or products as necessary along with completing and maintaining all documentation accurately.\nInventory materials in production area and supplies workers with materials as needed.\nPerforms daily forklift inspection along with any other safety inspections or checks as required.\nWill be responsible for moving materials and product onto and off pallets, skids or lifting device.\nWhile performing these duties, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or fell; reach\nwith hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear. You will continuously lift and/or move heavy boxes, containers, equipment or parts, 50 lbs. unassisted, or assist others in moving, shifting, or positioning heavier objects.\nThis employee is subject to work in outside environmental conditions and around fumes, odors, dusts, and mists.\nThey will be subject to hazards such as working around moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemical and extreme heat and cold and work in small confined spaces or at high levels.\n\nAll employees are directly responsible for the Quality of Olam Edible Nuts products. Each employee must perform their job function in accordance to the GMP Rules and the Sanitation, Safety and HACCP Programs.\nMust follow safe work practices and comply with all company, federal and state rules and regulations which apply to job, including but not limited to, right to Know, emergency evacuation, electrical safety, confined space, blood borne pathogens, and lockout/tagout.\nExecute special projects and other job-related activities as directed.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read, write and perform basic math functions.
