We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to support financial oversight and document governance for a long-term contract opportunity in California. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual who can combine strong controller-level judgment with hands-on management of financial records and supporting documentation. The selected candidate will help maintain organized, accurate, and accessible files while contributing to reliable reporting and operational compliance.Responsibilities:• Oversee financial control activities and support accurate maintenance of accounting-related records and documentation.• Organize, review, and compile business and financial documents to ensure files are complete, current, and easy to retrieve.• Manage high-volume document scanning processes and verify that digitized records are clear, properly labeled, and stored correctly.• Establish and maintain document control practices that promote consistency, accuracy, and compliance across financial files.• Coordinate the collection and preparation of supporting materials needed for reporting, audits, and internal reviews.• Monitor document handling workflows to reduce errors, improve record accessibility, and maintain orderly filing systems.• Partner with internal stakeholders to confirm that required records are submitted, processed, and retained according to established standards.• 7+ years of hands-on experience in finance, controllership, or a closely related function.• Demonstrated background in document control and structured records management.• Hands-on experience with document scanning and digital file organization.• Strong ability to compile, review, and maintain detailed documentation with a high degree of accuracy.• Solid understanding of financial recordkeeping practices and internal control principles.• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.• Proficiency in handling sensitive information with discretion.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
