Brief DescriptionGENERAL SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Director, Recreation Therapy, the Recreation Therapy Aide plans, organizes, and implements a variety of individual and group activities designed to meet the needs of all residents of Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing Center.Assigned duties are implemented in a manner appropriate to the person-specific needs of the patients served.Type of supervision exercised: none. Jobs reporting to this position: none.EDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.WORK EXPERIENCE:Previous Experience Working With a Geriatric Population Preferred.SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:Clearances required: PA State Police criminal history checkand PA Department of Aging FBI fingerprint clearance (if applicable).Must be certified or become certified in CPR.Ability to maintain/promote positive relationships with residents, families, and facility personnel required.Valid PA driver’s license preferred.If selected as a driver, must pass Allied Services’ Driver Training Program.
