We combine established laboratory science with emerging analytical technologies to expand and improve our testing capabilities.\n\nAs a growing laboratory, we offer scientists the opportunity to work hands-on with analytical instrumentation, contribute to new method development, and have a direct impact on the expansion of our testing menu.\n\n*Overview*\n\nWe are seeking a hands-on *LC-MS/MS Scientist – Method Development & Analytical Testing* to join our laboratory team in Austin, Texas.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have practical experience with LC-MS/MS testing and analytical method development, including method optimization, validation/verification, troubleshooting, sample preparation, and data analysis.\n\nThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and can take ownership of analytical methods from development through routine testing.\n\n*Responsibilities*\n\n* Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot quantitative LC-MS/MS methods\n* Perform method validation and verification studies\n* Conduct routine LC-MS/MS testing and analyze analytical data\n* Prepare samples, standards, calibrators, and quality controls\n* Evaluate method performance, including accuracy, precision, linearity, sensitivity, and reproducibility\n* Troubleshoot chromatography, mass spectrometry, sample preparation, and method-performance issues\n* Perform routine instrument maintenance and assist with calibration and troubleshooting\n* Maintain accurate laboratory records, SOPs, and method-development documentation\n* Support implementation and transfer of new analytical methods into routine laboratory testing\n* Follow established laboratory quality and regulatory procedures\n\n*Qualifications*\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field\n* Hands-on experience operating LC-MS/MS instrumentation\n* Experience with analytical method development, optimization, validation, or verification\n* Strong understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, calibration, and quantitative analysis\n* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\n* Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation\n* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a growing laboratory environment\n\n*Preferred Qualifications*\n\n* 2+ years of hands-on LC-MS/MS experience\n* Experience developing quantitative LC-MS/MS methods\n* Experience analyzing biological samples or other complex matrices\n* Experience working in a clinical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or analytical laboratory\n* Familiarity with regulated laboratory environments and laboratory quality systems\n\n*What We're Looking For*\n\nWe are particularly interested in candidates who have experience beyond simply operating established LC-MS/MS methods.
