This position supports projects from late stage development through construction and performance testing.\n\nWorking closely with development, engineering, construction and finance teams, the Project Engineer ensures that technical requirements are clearly defined, properly implemented and aligned with project schedules and budgets.\n\nThis role is ideal for an engineer with early career experience in utility scale renewable projects who is eager to deepen technical expertise while contributing to the delivery of complex infrastructure projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEstablish and manage engineering requirements within EPC contracts and project documentation\n\nSupport the Tendering team in EPC contractor selection and contract negotiations\n\nProvide engineering support to the Project Management team during project execution\n\nReview and approve project designs, drawings and technical submittals during development and construction\n\nManage external Owner’s Engineers supporting design reviews and construction oversight\n\nSupport engagement with Independent Engineers for third party project financing\n\nConduct site visits to support construction progress and milestone verification\n\nCoordinate technical RFI responses and gather input from internal subject matter experts\n\nProvide technical diligence support for project finance activities\n\nCapture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement in project delivery and operations\n\nDevelop tools and processes to manage technical requests and track engineering deliverables\n\nRepresent your discipline in development, delivery and stakeholder meetings as needed\n\nKnowledge\n\nUnderstanding of codes and regulations relevant to solar project construction\n\nExperience with engineering design for utility scale PV plants\n\nFamiliarity with project financing structures and technical diligence requirements\n\nKnowledge of key industry stakeholders including EPC contractors, investors, technical advisors and independent engineers\n\nUnderstanding of PV technology, balance of system components and market trends\n\nAbility to interpret site documentation and technical reports\n\nKnowledge of EPC cost estimation methodologies based on project design\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university\n\nExperience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SketchUp\n\nExperience with solar simulation tools such as PVsyst, PVSol, StorageVAT or similar platforms\n\nWillingness to travel up to 25% for project site visits and key project meetings\n\nExperience\n\nUp to 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role within renewable energy or infrastructure projects\n\nUtility scale solar PV design for construction, including high voltage substations\n\nBattery energy storage systems and integration with PV and high voltage infrastructure\n\nCivil design considerations for solar development including access roads, drainage and site hydrology\n\nElectrical system design including studies such as thermal ampacity, load flow, reactive power and protection coordination\n\nEnergy resource assessment and project optimization\n\nExperience supporting solar PV construction activities, project documentation and technical reviews\n\nBehaviors and
