Raw Material Prep Associate

We have an immediate full time opening and are searching for new team members to join our Raw Material Department in Portland. This are entry level opportunities that are supported by a team that will train you to perform in our unique environment. What you can expect to be doing: This position is "hands on" and the individual should have a self-starter mindset. Sort cardboard packing materials into designated areas Unboxing raw materials for processing Prep raw materials for processing by de-coring using equipment or utility knife Move prepared raw materials to production line using forklift Maintain clean work area and dispose of pellet overflow What we are looking for in our hires: Our successful candidates are self-starters who are willing to learn! Have a strong work ethic - dependable and demonstrate good attendance Able to work a 12-hour shift Our work schedule rotates every 2 weeks: 36 hours one week & 48 hours second week (schedule includes every other weekend) Able to meet the physical qualifications for this position which include: Lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Standing for an extended period of time Lift, throw, bend, squat, twist, and reach Working in both hot and cold conditions Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly desired but not a requirement Previous manufacturing experience is a plus, but not necessary Lastly, have a positive attitude and be willing to assist others when needed.
