Travel to Washington DC, Northern VA, Boston, MA and San Antonio, TX will be required.\n\nMaximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS088, T4, Band 7\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nProvides Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) areas of incident response, vulnerability scanning and management, problem management, certificate management, penetration testing, password policy management, data analysis of network security, remediation patching coordination, and compliance efforts.\n\nImplements automated application security testing tools, making users aware of how to best use application security features.\n\nCollaborates to develop an automated security framework for strong deployment tools and processes, leveraging various scripting languages and open‑source solutions.\n\nRecommends automation improvements to replace manual tasks for network infrastructure provisions and security operational processes.\n\nGathers requirements, designs and implements solutions, and fixes network or security operational issues.\n\nManages end‑user and administration access for access control.\n\nPerforms network or security analysis and troubleshooting; diagnoses root cause analysis, using monitoring tools and system analytics; and applies system patches to DevOps tooling.\n\nUpdates security procedures and maintains operations runbooks to report procedures and operations to avoid recurring issues.\n\nSets up, conducts risk assessment, monitors, and maintains proxy servers, systems, and firewalls.\n\nPerforms penetration testing and security code reviews.\n\nCoordinates change requests and provides status updates.\n\nResearched technology trends and best practices for cloud site reliability engineering.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nBS in Computer Science, information Technology, or related field. 10 Years of experience or multiple IT certifications may be substituted for a degree.\n\n8 Years of work‑related experience required.\n\nActive Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.\n\nSecurity+ or DoD 8570 IAT‑II certification required.\n\nAbility to travel 10% – 20%.\n\nPreferred Skills and Qualifications\n\nFamiliar with technical aspects for IT and IAT‑Level II Certifications.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization technologies.\n\nExpertise in cloud platforms, automation tools, scripting languages, and security testing tools.\n\nUnderstanding of AWS, Azure, or GCP and their security services.\n\nUnderstanding of USAF IT systems, networks, and platforms.\n\nExperience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for automating the build, test, and deployment process.\n\nProficiency with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.\n\nFamiliarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and related technologies.\n\nProficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate security tasks and workflows.\n\nExperience with static analysis (SAST), dynamic analysis (DAST), and software composition analysis (SCA) tools, as well as vulnerability scanners.\n\nSolid understanding of network security principles, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation.\n\nFamiliarity with SIEM solutions (like Splunk or ELK) and log aggregation tools for security monitoring.\n\nFamiliarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust (ZT) security models.\n\nBenefits and Compensation\nMaximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
