Veterans, transitioning service members, National Guard/Reserve members, and military spouses with relevant technical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.Job Description:The Lead Network Engineer will serve as the senior technical resource for one of two field deployment crews supporting the client’s Network Lifecycle pilot.Each Lead will oversee a four-person deployment crew consisting of the Lead Network Engineer, two Network Engineers, and one Network Cable Technician. The Lead will be responsible for directing technical execution in the field, performing switch migrations, overseeing network cutovers, troubleshooting deployment issues, and ensuring successful validation following infrastructure changes. Key responsibilities include:Lead and provide technical direction to a four-person network deployment crewPerform enterprise LAN switch replacements and migrationsLead and oversee network cutover activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during deploymentCoordinate wireless access point replacement and validation activitiesWork within MDF/IDF and network-closet environmentsOversee connectivity testing and post-deployment validationEnsure network equipment, ports, cabling, and infrastructure are properly documentedCoordinate technical activities with the LaaS Technical Project Manager and project leadershipIdentify and escalate technical risks or deployment blockersMaintain deployment quality and adherence to established runbooks/processesSupport operational acceptance and handoff following deployment Skill Set Requirements:Strong hands-on enterprise network engineering experienceExperience installing, replacing, configuring, and migrating enterprise LAN switchesDemonstrated experience executing or leading network cutoversStrong Layer 2/Layer 3 networking fundamentalsUnderstanding of switching, VLANs, trunking, uplinks, and network connectivityExperience supporting enterprise wireless access point deployments or replacementsStrong network troubleshooting and problem-resolution skillsExperience working within MDF/IDF and network-closet environmentsAbility to perform connectivity testing and technical validation following network changesPrevious experience leading engineers, technicians, or network deployment crewsStrong documentation and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with project managers, engineers, technicians, client stakeholders, and third-party partnersAbility to support maintenance windows and off-hours cutovers as requiredAbility to work on-site for the duration of the 8-week pilotNice to Haves:Cisco switching and wireless experienceLarge-scale enterprise network refresh experienceHealthcare or hospital network infrastructure experienceExperience with high-volume LAN switch and AP replacement projectsExperience leading field-based network deployment teamsMilitary experience within networking, communications, Signal, cyber, IT, telecommunications, electronics, or similar technical specialtiesMilitary leadership experience supervising technical personnel or field deploymentsMilitary Veteran & Military Spouse Initiative:Military talent is a primary sourcing focus for this engagement.
