A background in healthcare software is a major plus, as it will support our mission to deliver impactful solutions in a regulated and data-sensitive environment.\n\nTIME ALLOCATION\nProduction Operations & Support – 20%\nArchitecture & Design – 20%\nTechnical Leadership & Mentoring – 20%\nStakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering – 15%\nCode Review & Quality Assurance – 10%\nResearch & Innovation – 10%\nDocumentation & Compliance – 5%\n\nEXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)\nLead the architectural design and evolution of the Java-based multi-tenant SaaS healthcare application, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.\nDefine and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and design patterns for Java development and Azure deployments.\nCollaborate with product management, engineering teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectural blueprints.\nDesign and implement multi-tenancy strategies for data isolation, security, and resource allocation within the Azure environment.\nEnsure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, FHIR) in all architectural decisions and implementations.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them on architectural principles, coding standards, and Azure best practices.\nEvaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the application's capabilities and optimize its performance in Azure.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and technical roadmaps.\nParticipate in code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and quality standards.\nTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the application's architecture and Azure infrastructure.\nDefine and implement scalable multi-tenant SaaS architectures for production environments.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, DevOps, and QA to ensure alignment with business goals.\nProvide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.\nEnsure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards, especially in healthcare-related contexts.\nEvaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product development.\nParticipate in code reviews and enforce best practices in software engineering.\nDocument architectural decisions, system designs, and technical standards.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.\n8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in an architectural or technical leadership role.\nProven experience in designing and deploying multi-tenant SaaS solutions in production environments.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE\nStrong proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.).\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architecture patterns.\nDeep understanding of multi-tenant SaaS design principles, deployment strategies, and operational considerations.\nExperience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience with modern UI/UX frameworks (React, Angular)\nStrong knowledge of software design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE\nBackground in healthcare software development, including familiarity with HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare standards.\nExperience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).\nKnowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance in regulated industries.\nExperience with enterprise integration patterns and middleware solutions.\n\nATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION\nThe position is based in our Richardson, TX office.
