Carrier Sales Representative OTR
Amnex Solutions is seeking a Carrier Sales Representative to secure capacity across OTR freight. This role is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and managing carriers to ensure consistent, cost-effective coverage across nationwide lanes.You'll work directly with brokerage and operations teams to cover loads, build carrier relationships, and solve problems in real time.What You'll Be Doing Source and secure capacity for:Full Truckload (FTL)Less-Than-Truckload (LTL)Dry VanReeferFlatbedSpecialized/Open Deck FreightBuild and manage a reliable carrier network (not just one-off bookings)Negotiate rates with carriers to achieve margin targetsTrack shipments and proactively resolve issues such as missed pickups, service failures, delays, and breakdownsWork closely with brokerage and operations teams to ensure smooth execution from pickup through deliveryUse tools such as Carrier411, RMIS, and Turvo to vet and manage carriersDevelop repeat carrier relationships on core lanes to improve service consistency and reduce spot market exposureAssist with after-hours issues when necessaryCore Skills Strong understanding of:OTR freight marketsTruckload and LTL operationsEquipment types including dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, and specialized trailersAbility to move quickly while maintaining sound decision-makingStrong negotiation and relationship-building skillsProblem-solving under pressureClear communication with carriers, customers, and internal teamsAbility to prioritize multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience1–3+ years of experience in carrier sales, dispatch, freight brokerage, or transportation operationsExisting carrier relationships are a plusExperience with truckload and LTL freight preferredFamiliarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and carrier compliance platforms preferredCompensationBase Salary + Commission
