What You Will Be Responsible For Carry out both routine and complex laboratory tests across various disciplines-chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-according to established protocols. Review results for accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment. Assist in specimen collection and preparation for testing when necessary. Thoroughly document all processes, educate new staff or students, and actively contribute to maintaining quality standards in the lab. Ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation guidelines. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree with readiness for ASCP/AMT certification. Certification Needs Obtain ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) within one year of your hire date. Keep your certification active throughout your employment. Essential Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork with healthcare professionals. Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills under pressure.
