This role thrives on problem solvers who communicate clearly and collaborate well in a team environment.With the assistance of roller tables, physically lift, move, and flip titanium sheets into and out of the grinder tool, which cuts and finishes the metalVisually inspect sheet surfaces for imperfections and use grinding tool to remove defectsUtilize a micrometer and thickness gauge (vidigauge) to check the thickness of titanium sheetsPerform minor grinder maintenance and periodic cleaning of grinder equipmentComplete setup of machines, install large grinder belts, and monitor equipment during operation for errors12 Hour ShiftThis is a full-time Contract to Hire opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & QualificationsAbility to navigate and perform basic computer operationsAbility to read and comprehend written materials such as production orders, SOPs, safety instructions, etc.Possess basic knowledge of math, math equations, and the ability to properly utilize various measuring instrumentsAbility to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks needed to properly handle materialsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close/distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust visual focusSchedule: 6am-6pm, Overtime as requiredRotating Shift 3-2-2 (Work every other Fri, Sat & Sun)Pay Rate Range: $18 to $20 per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
