Entry Level Payroll Clerk
Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Temporary Part-Time Payroll Clerk to support one of our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on payroll and administrative experience in a professional office environment.
Position Details Job Title: Temporary Payroll Clerk
Schedule: Part-Time, 20–25 hours per week
Pay Rate: $16/hour
Assignment Length: Approximately 3 months
Required Availability: Must work every Wednesday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no exceptions)
Office Hours: Office closes daily from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM for lunch
Responsibilities Assist the Lead Payroll Manager with processing and maintaining small payroll accounts
Perform administrative and clerical support duties related to payroll operations
Enter and verify payroll-related information accurately
Organize and maintain payroll records and documentation
Support general office functions as needed
Follow instructions carefully while managing multiple tasks and priorities
Qualifications Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
Previous payroll exposure is a plus, but not required
Prior administrative or office experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and take initiative
Must be dependable and able to take direction well
Basic computer proficiency required
Software Used Experience with Accounting CS is a plus, but training will be provided.
