You’ll design, build, and evolve cloud security capabilities that safeguard modern workloads while enabling innovation at scale. Working closely with engineers, infrastructure teams, and security partners, you’ll translate complex risks into practical solutions that balance protection, performance, and business outcomes.This role is ideal for a hands‑on security practitioner who thrives in a collaborative DevSecOps environment, is energized by solving complex problems, and wants to make a meaningful impact in a highly regulated, purpose‑driven organization.What You’ll DoEngineer, implement, and monitor security controls that protect AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure and integrationsDesign and mature cloud security architectures that scale with platform growth and business demandEmbed security into infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines through automation and policy‑as‑codePartner with application, platform, and operations teams to deliver secure, resilient cloud solutionsEvaluate, recommend, and implement emerging security technologies that strengthen cloud postureTranslate security and technical requirements into clear risk insights for technical and business stakeholdersContribute to cloud security standards, patterns, and best practices across multi‑cloud environmentsDevelop automation and metrics that improve visibility, effectiveness, and operational maturityWhat you haveRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.1–5 years of experience implementing or managing security controls in AWS and/or Azure environmentsAbility to design and apply cloud security controls that reduce risk while enabling deliveryExperience securing cloud infrastructure using native and third‑party security toolsAbility to communicate security concepts clearly and influence partners across engineering and operationsExperience working in regulated environments where security, compliance, and resiliency are criticalPreferred QualificationsExperience securing workloads across multiple cloud platforms, including GCPHands‑on experience with cloud security tools such as Wiz, Prisma, Cortex Cloud, Orca Security, or ZscalerExperience using infrastructure‑as‑code and automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Crossplane, Ansible, or PulumiExperience embedding security into DevSecOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, or similar platformsKnowledge of cloud and hybrid security architecture patternsProfessional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or cloud security certificationsStrong curiosity and commitment to staying current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security practicesIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.What’s in it for youAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
