{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"58652365ba3bfdfae54f7c73","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/58652365ba3bfdfae54f7c73","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/58652365ba3bfdfae54f7c73","title":"Controller","description":"Job Title: Controller (Manufacturing/CFO Track)\nReports To: CFO\nApproved By: Human Resources Director\nApproved Date: 01/2026\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAccounting & Financial Control\n· Lead month-end close and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements\n· Own cost accounting, including job costing, WIP, and inventory valuation\n· Manage AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and internal controls\n· Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning\n· Analyze margins using standard costing and variance analysis\nManufacturing & Operations Finance\nPartner with operations on manufacturing finance, labor efficiency, utilization, and margins\nSupport pricing, quoting, and operational decision-making\nMaintain and improve ERP system processes\nDevelop KPI reporting and management dashboards\nInsurance, Compliance & Corporate Filings\nOversee insurance programs, including coordination with brokers, renewals, certificates, and claims support\nEnsure timely completion of insurance-related filings and reporting requirements\nSatisfy government, regulatory, and other required financial or legal filings\nSupport contract administration and compliance related to financial and insurance obligations\nCoordinate with external advisors on compliance, reporting, and risk management matter\nEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE\nRequired\n· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance\n· 7+ years of experience as a Controller or Senior Accountant in manufacturing\n· Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, job costing, and WIP\n· Experience owning month-end close and financial reporting\n· Comfort operating in a hands-on, owner-operated environment\nPreferred\n· CPA or CMA\n· Experience in job shop or metal fabrication\n· Exposure to multi-entity or consolidated accounting\n· Experience overseeing insurance programs or compliance reporting\n· Interest in progressing to a CFO role\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
