The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing pallets and other products from raw materials. We expect applicants to be committed, neat, hardworking, and able to put others first. This position will enable those with enthusiasm and a high work ethic the opportunity to join a stable, growing company and build a long-term career.\nPay is piecework based and paid on a weekly basis. Starting wage is $18 per hour while training, with the opportunity for continued advancement opportunities through merit and performance-based increases. Piece rate is determined by the item built and piecework overtime pay is available frequently, but average income for Pallet Builders can range from $150 - $180+ per day. Benefits include Highmark® Health insurance with company contribution, 401K with 3.5% company match, Dental and Vision insurance, company paid basic term life insurance, paid holidays, and paid vacation.\nThe position is fast-paced and requires a desire to continually excel and grow. The position requires an understanding of tools and machinery, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be in good physical condition, able to bend, twist and lift moderately heavy objects. Applicants should be committed to complying with safety rules and guidelines and production quality expectations, and able to work well both alone and on a team. Some mechanical skills are required but can be learned on the job.\nResponsibilities\nOperate hand and air tools with precision to fabricate materials according to specifications.\nConduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of tools used to ensure optimal performance.\nAdhere to safety protocols while operating machinery.\nAssist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.\nExperience\nExperience as a Pallet Builder or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nAbility to lift/carry 50lbs required.\nFamiliarity with hand tools is preferred.\nStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues related to the operation of the tools is preferred.\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.\nInterested applicants can send resumes to taylor.lewis@yoderpallets.com or stop by in person to drop off a resume or pick up an application.\nYoder Pallet Company – 304-496-9602, 1639 Slanesville Pike, Points, WV 25437\nAbout the Interview Process:\nSelected applicants will be required to complete an in-person job tryout as part of the interview process.
