Marketing Insights Analyst

Title: Marketing Insights AnalystDescription:The Marketing Insights Analyst - Residential plays an integral role in strengthening the organization's leadership position in the Residential roofing market by establishing a clear connection to customer needs and enabling customer-led strategic business decisions. Reporting to the Marketing Insights Manager - Enterprise Solutions, this role supports and manages Market Research initiatives that directly inform Product, Brand, Marketing, and Customer Experience strategies.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, an analytical mindset, and natural intellectual curiosity. They will help develop and deliver impactful insights that shape Marketing and Product Strategy. This individual listens actively, asks the right questions, and translates customer needs into actionable market research plans.This position is responsible for managing multiple insights projects of varying size and complexity simultaneously, from planning to successful delivery. Prior marketing research experience is required.Essential DutiesPlan, manage, and deliver Marketing Insights projects. Execute end-to-end research projects under the supervision of the Marketing Insights Manager - Enterprise Solutions, including requirements gathering, methodology design, participant recruitment, survey/programming/testing, analysis, and presentation delivery.Develop questionnaires and discussion guides aligned with business needs, leveraging expertise in survey design and qualitative methods to create engaging research experiences.Employ qualitative research methodologies, including moderating focus groups, conducting in-depth interviews, and executing unmoderated user experience testing to capture deeper insights.Analyze data and present actionable research findings to stakeholders across the organization, informing strategy, design recommendations, customer experience development, and product optimization.Support in-person customer insights sessions, including brainstorming, co-creation workshops, and focus groups. Manage logistics and facilitation, and deliver insights that address critical business challenges and inform program/experience development.Support Residential-focused research needs across Programs, Business Services, Events, Channels, Products, and related areas.Manage the Insights Knowledge Management Platform by uploading documents, curating insights, and ensuring assets are communicated and shared effectively across the organization.Requirements3-5 years of experience in marketing research, user experience research, or management consulting.Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred (Statistics, Research, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Human Factors, HCI/CS, Marketing, or General Management).Advanced expertise in quantitative research (survey design, sampling, statistical concepts, etc.) and qualitative/user-centered design methods (interviews, diary studies, usability testing, etc.).Proficiency with marketing research tools such as Qualtrics, Usertesting.com, and other online insights platforms.Strong experience leveraging AI in research operations.Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Industry experience in Building Materials preferred; related complex industries also considered.Excellent facilitation and moderation skills.Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.Preferred QualificationsCertifications in Marketing Research, Customer Experience, or User Experience Research.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong business acumen and work ethic.Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.Advanced experience conducting analysis and presenting actionable insights.Experience working with and managing external research providers.
