The family-friendly venue at Power Plant Hampton Roads will feature Geno’s popular menu of crowd-pleasing favorites for lunch and dinner daily, including a variety of cheesesteaks, Italian hoagies and more. Complemented by a full-service bar offering beer, wine, handcrafted cocktails, as well as a variety of soft drinks to suit guests of all ages, the space is designed with fun in mind. The expansive restaurant will feature classic arcade games and interactive experiences perfect for families and groups. Guests can also unwind on Geno’s scenic waterfront patio, complete with incredible views and a relaxed outdoor vibe.\n\nBartender Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\n\nProvide an energetic, outgoing, fun personality while maintaining professionalism.\nPerform varied duties to ensure all aspects of the proper steps of service.\nOffer polite, professional, and courteous customer service.\nCommunicate effectively with co-workers and guests.\nMix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks according to drink recipe.\nServe wine, and bottled or draft beer.\nTake beverage orders from serving staff or from guests.\nCommunicate effectively, clearly, patiently and humorously with co-workers and guests.\nComplete all side work as assigned.\nBe well-versed in the products in order to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.\nCheck guests’ identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption.\nPresent and encourage current promotions to guests.\nAccurately record and account for all items ordered and secure payment from guest.\nAccurately account for all sales and receipts and record tips as outlined in company policies and procedures.\n\nBartender Qualifications:\n\nAt least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs.\nKnowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments.\nFormal bartending training preferred.\nMust meet state legal age requirements.\nMust speak fluent English, other languages preferred.\nCommunication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.\nAlcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.\nReading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.\nMathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently.\nMay be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.\n\nThe Bartender position requires the ability to perform the following:\n\nHandling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
