You must live within a commutable distance of the office and regularly work on-site.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities Research, gather and synthesize scientific and policy information translating that information into understandable, audience appropriate communication products.\r\nUnderstand, interpret, identify and select appropriate and scientifically accurate and understandable images and graphics to enhance communication products on a regular basis usable by a variety of audiences.\r\nProvide written and oral communications to support the client in relaying clear, concise, and understandable information to various target audiences.\r\nDevelop and edit audience-appropriate reports, news articles, technical publications, brochures, periodicals, speeches, audio-visual materials, profiles, feature stories and Q & As for online, social media and printed content.\r\nWrite, coordinate and upload stories, videos, and pictures to government websites and social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.\r\nCollaborate with other departments to ensure internal communications are accessible and meet corporate brand standards.\r\nTest to ensure accessibility solutions are effective and successful.\r\nCreate and publish documentations, manuals, and additional forms of publications.\r\nOversee complex team and department projects and processes; coach, review, and delegate work to lower level professionals.\r\nJob-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities Design clear, user-focused materials such as brochures, fact sheets, guides, flyers, and informational handouts.\r\nUnderstands client business objectives and has the skills to translate them into effective and engaging designs.\r\nCreate illustrations, icons, and infographics to support comprehension and accessibility.\r\nContribute to visual development and storyboarding for motion graphics or explainer videos.\r\nApply strong typography, layout, and design principles to enhance readability and usability.\r\nUnderstand and apply design-specific accessibility standards, such as sufficient color contrast.\r\nWrite and edit short-form content (e.g., headlines, callouts, instructions) with a focus on clarity and plain language.\r\nCollaborate with writers and subject matter experts to translate complex content into accessible visuals.\r\nFormat Microsoft Word documents and PowerPoint presentations using accessibility and style guidelines.\r\nTake concepts from the creative team into the design phase development through to final execution.\r\nPrepare and organize files for internal review, production, and delivery.\r\nMeet deadlines consistently while managing workload across multiple projects.\r\nMinimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in related field.\r\n7-10 years of relevant professional experience.\r\nJob-Specific Minimum Requirements Must live within a commutable distance of the office Princeton, NJ office and regularly work on-site.\r\n7+ years designing for print, video, digital and presentations.\r\nExperience with trust-building and credibility-focused design.\r\nStrong understanding of color theory, branding, typography, layout and composition principles.\r\nExperience working in Agile teams, understand Agile tools and how to use them.\r\nExperience in pre-press, file prep and art file delivery for print.\r\nExperience creating infographics and data-driven design elements.\r\nProficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.\r\nExperience creating custom illustrations, icons, or infographics.\r\nStrong organization and project management skills—able to self-direct, manage deadlines, and deliver high-quality work on time and on budget.\r\nA proactive mindset;
