An engineer in this role will take initiative to constantly look for ways to improve systems, will deliver quality solutions, efficiently, and with less reliance on peers.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nNone\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nDocument code, system architecture, and development processes clearly and consistently to ensure maintainability, knowledge sharing, and onboarding efficiency across teams\nServe as a senior software engineer for software development projects of moderate to high complexity\nDevelop technical specifications and architecture\nParticipate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nExcellent collaboration, communication and writing skills.\nKnowledge of software design patterns and programming best practices\nUnderstanding of architectural paradigms and ability to choose the architectural style based on the requirement of the project and business needs\nUnderstand non-functional aspects of evolutionary software architecture e.g., Security, Reliability, Scalability, Performance, Availability, etc.\nUnderstand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and deploy features\nAssist with solution estimation and establishing standards\nStay informed of industry trends and technologies\nParticipate in the process of mentoring junior engineers\nPerforms related job duties as required\nRequired Skills/Abilities:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field\n5+ years of hands-on software development experience\nSolid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.\nProficient in C# and .NET framework.\nExperience with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server)\nExperience with front-end technologies (Blazor, Webforms, JavaScript)\nExperience with modern DevOps toolchains & build pipelines\nPreferred Skills/Abilities:\nExperience with Azure Cloud Services\nExperience with Git Repositories and Source Control\nKnowledge of Agile Scrum and Sprint Methodologies\nFamiliarity with Jira and Confluence\nPhysical Requirements:\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in an office/ cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)\nEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO) is a fundamental principle at HealthPlanOne, where employment is based upon personal capabilities and qualifications.
