The team builds and maintains ETL pipelines that enable full spectrum data operation from ingest to query exceeding current and expected business value requirements. If you are a self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented software engineer who is passionate about developing innovative software solutions, we would love to hear from you.\n\nWhat You'll be Owning\n\nMust have a strong working knowledge and experience developing ETL Pipelines\nThe ideal candidate will have worked with big data systems, complex structured and unstructured data sets, and have supported government data acquisition, analysis, and/or sharing efforts in the past\nTo excel in the position, the candidate shall have a strong attention to detail, be able to understand technical complexities, and have the willingness to learn and adapt to the situation\nShould have an inquisitive nature, responsiveness, and excellent testing and quality assurance skills.\nMust also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.\nWill work in a fast-paced, small business environment independently and with our talented team.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Must Have\n\nMust have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.\nBS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent\nCurrent Active Top Secret Clearance, SCI eligible.\nExperience with programming languages Python and Java\nFluency with data extraction, custom translation development, and loading including data prep and labeling to enable data analytics\nFamiliarity with various log formats such as JSON, XML, and others\nAbility to decompose technical problems and troubleshoot system and data flow issues\nExperience with the agile software lifecycle\nHas a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting\nExperience with the Linux operating system\nExperience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)\nFamiliarity with network and other cyber security logs and information (windows logs, firewall logs, etc)\nExperience with working on data from acquistion to end display/usage\nExperience troubleshooting and investigating errors and data problems at scale\nMust have a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (i.e. Security+) or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire\nMust be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Sterling VA office. However, flexibility is essential to accommodate any changes in the schedule.\n\nWhat Would be Nice to Have\n\nDesired: 7 years of relevant experience.\nExperience with the underlying architectures for one or more legacy Unified Platform data platforms (Unified Platform GovCloud, DoD Big Data Platform, JCWA systems) or similar commercial systems consistent with the SOO (Kubernetes).\nExperience with cloud-based systems or AI/ ML development a plus.\nExperience with SQL through tools such as trino\nExperience developing with Kubernetes environments\nPrior Experience supporting cyber and/or network security operations within a large enterprise, as either an analyst, engineer, architect, or developer\nExperience with data flow, management (i.e. Kafka, NiFi, and SQS solutions)\nFamiliarity with Zoom/Teams/Meet style team meetings\nUnderstanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.
