Inspect linens and laundry items for any damage, wear, or defects.\n\nInventory Management: Monitor laundry supplies (e.g., detergents, fabric softeners) and order necessary stock when inventory levels low. Maintain records of inventory and usage.\n\nEquipment Maintenance: Oversee the proper use and maintenance of laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, irons, and folding machines. Ensure equipment is clean, well-maintained, and functioning properly.\n\nHealth & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards, ensuring the laundry area is clean, organized, and free from hazards. Enforce proper handling and storage of chemicals and detergents.\n\nScheduling: Create and maintain work schedules for laundry attendants to ensure adequate staffing during peak times. Ensure staff adhere to attendance and punctuality standards.\n\nCustomer Service: Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of laundry items to other departments, guests, or clients as per the company’s standards.\n\nRecord-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of laundry volumes, service requests, inventory, and employee performance.\n\nProblem-Solving: Address any issues or concerns related to laundry operations, including damaged items or equipment malfunctions. Provide solutions and upscale when necessary.\n\nBudgeting & Cost Control: Assist in managing the department’s budget by monitoring costs related to laundry supplies, energy consumption, and labor.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred).\n\nPrevious experience in a laundry environment, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.\n\nStrong knowledge of laundry equipment, processes, and safety procedures.\n\nExcellent organizational and time-management skills.\n\nAbility to lead, motivate, and train a team.\n\nStrong communication skills and customer service orientation.\n\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.\n\nPhysical stamina to lift heavy laundry items and operate machinery.\n\nMust be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent experience required.\n\nMust have a professional appearance and be a team player.\n\nMust present a well‑groomed and professional appearance.\n\nMust possess excellent communication skills.\n\nMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
