In this hands-on role, you will partner closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to execute lab work orders, support product debug activities, and ensure critical testing objectives are completed safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic technical environment while contributing directly to key product development milestones.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nYou are a dependable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment. You enjoy working hands-on with hardware, following established processes, solving problems, and collaborating with engineers to achieve shared goals. Strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, adaptability, and a commitment to quality and continuous learning will help you succeed in this role.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nExecute prioritized work orders in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.\nManage product samples throughout the testing process, ensuring accurate tracking and timely completion.\nSupport engineering debug and validation activities, including system setup, hardware swaps, and data collection.\nDocument work progress, testing results, and equipment issues while providing clear status updates to stakeholders.\nCoordinate inventory staging, sample preparation, and material handling to support efficient lab operations.\nMaintain an organized work environment and contribute to continuous improvement and cross-training initiatives.\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n\nExperience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, laboratory, or engineering support environment.\nFamiliarity with engineering lab operations, test equipment, troubleshooting, and diagnostic processes.\nExperience supporting product validation, characterization, testing, or debug activities.\nProficiency using work order management systems, tracking tools, or related operational software.\nAbility to follow technical procedures, accurately document results, and manage multiple priorities.\nExperience collaborating within cross-functional teams and supporting operational or engineering objectives.\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.\nBasic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nRelevant technical training, vocational coursework, or certifications are a plus.\n\nLOCATION:\n\nAustin, Texas, US\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n#LI-LC2\n#LI-Hybrid\n\nQualifications:\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
