In this position you will provide direct support to rapid acquisition and tactical prototyping projects. You will also work as an integral part of the engineering design teams, as well as with end-users, management, and sponsors throughout the design, integration and iterative test of prototypes and tactical systems. This position is available for immediate hire and located at in Dahlgren, VA.\nSCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid Holidays.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, develop, integrate, test and deploy software in C++ for real-time tactical and simulation applications\nWork closely with engineers, managers, and critical stakeholders to understand performance and verification requirements\nProvide inputs to system architecture and design as part of a Tactical Software Development Team\nGenerate and execute test cases to evaluate software performance, document results and communicate with the broader engineering team for system improvement\nCollect and analyze system test data\nProvide system test reports, documentation, and progress updates\nInteract with broader engineering team(s) to analyze software performance\nParticipate in project reviews\nEssential Skills and Experience:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance\nBachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline; Or equivalent professional experience in lieu of degree\nThree (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in software development utilizing modern C++ programming (e.g., C++11 or later)\nExperience with multiple simulation environments, particularly NGTS, AFSIM, or the Integrated Threat Analysis and Simulation Environment (ITASE)\nFamiliarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)\nExperience with version control systems (e.g., Git)\nProficiency in using debugging tools and code profiling\nAbility to write portable code across Windows and Linux environments\nKnowledge of build automation tools (e.g., CMake)\nProficiency in unit testing frameworks (e.g., Google Test)\nExperience developing test plans, procedures, and strategies\nProficiency with use of test diagnostic equipment\nExperience collecting, processing, and presenting test data\nProficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear, logically sequenced, and grammatically correct documents\nAttention to detail in project documentation for content, formatting, consistency, and grammar\nDemonstrated ability to work independently, multitask, and manage priorities in a dynamic environment\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nExperience with Linux Software development\nExperience with combat management systems and weapons systems (highly desired)\nBackground in Real time tactical or aerodynamic model development\nFamiliarity with AGILE development methodology\nActive DoD Security Clearance\nFamiliarity with test plans, reports, and technical documentation\nDemonstrated experience working with engineers, HW/ SW developers, and management to gather necessary documentation, requirements, security, and safety information\nDemonstrated knowledge of interfacing systems such as weapon systems, sensor systems, and user interfaces\nSCCI is committed to providing a comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of employees and their families.
