{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"57b8e65c3d09575fe1dca48f","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/57b8e65c3d09575fe1dca48f","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/57b8e65c3d09575fe1dca48f","title":"Electrical Assembler","description":"Job Description\n\nJob Title: Manufacturing and Warehouse - DFR - Assembler - Electrical - 2nd Shift\r\nLocation: Colonial Heights, VA, 23834\r\nDuration: 6months with possible extension\r\nWork Schedule: 2nd shift time - 11pm-7am\r\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\r\n•Reads and understands work orders, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics to determine materials needed.\r\n•Uses considerable judgment in planning work sequence based on the above.\r\n•Create formal documentation for controller assembly function.\r\n•Assemble electrical controls for all assembly areas.\r\n•Proactively drive continuous improvement efforts.\r\n•Works closely with engineering resources.\r\n•Mount electrical enclosures on cases\r\n•Mount electrical devices in electrical cabinets and on structural surfaces.\r\n•Run wiring, cables and conduit in accordance with recognized electrical standards (UL471, NEMA, NEC)\r\n•Attach ends of wires to components, plugs, or terminal strip, using crimping devices.\r\n•Mark identifying data on completed wiring.\r\n•Wraps and ties wires together in accordance with established workmanship criteria.\r\n•Work in cooperation with engineering on new and special products.\r\n•Must be able to train others\r\n•Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow prescribed safety rules and Company policies at all times.\r\nSKILLS, EXPERIENCE, & TRAINING REQUIRED:\r\n•Minimum of HS Diploma or GED required\r\n•Ability to understand and interpret basic electric circuitry.\r\n•Knowledge and capability of using basic electrical test equipment.\r\n•Demonstrated ability to read instructions and wiring diagrams of internal equipment plus components\r\n•Needs to know hand and power tools required in electrical applications.\r\n•Previous experience performing electrical work preferred.\r\n•Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred\r\nCompany DescriptionElevaIT is a certified and values driven Service-Disabled Veteran owned global staffing and IT professional services firm serving Fortune 1000 clients with customized and scalable workforce solutions.
