If you’re looking for a place where you can lead, grow, and make a difference, Williston delivers.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject & Technical Coordination\nCoordinate project priorities and workflows in collaboration with engineers, survey managers, and project managers to support successful project delivery.\nSupport project teams by ensuring resources, timelines, and communication are aligned across disciplines.\nAssist in proposal preparation, client coordination, and project documentation to support business development and project execution.\nPartner with technical staff to improve processes that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency in project delivery.\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead and support administrative staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment that supports engineering and project teams.\nWork closely with engineers and technical staff to ensure operational support aligns with project needs and client expectations.\nSupport recruitment, onboarding, and development of staff to strengthen the office’s capabilities and long-term growth.\nClient & Community Engagement\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, supporting Project Managers in delivering responsive, high-quality service.\nContribute to community engagement efforts and support projects that impact both urban and rural communities across the region.\nCollaborate with marketing and funding teams to support proposals, funding applications, and community initiatives.\nFinancial & Operational Leadership\nSupport budgeting, financial tracking, and forecasting to align office operations with project and business goals.\nOversee accounts payable/receivable and financial processes to support project and office performance.\nIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support long-term office growth.\nOffice Operations\nOversee daily office operations, vendor relationships, and administrative processes to ensure a well-functioning and productive work environment.\nMaintain compliance with company policies and support coordination with HR and accounting teams.\nQualifications:\nThis role is ideal for a candidate looking to expand their impact beyond technical work into leadership, operations, and community-focused project delivery.\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field required.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain licensure within six months) candidates with a strong background in engineering, construction, or project-based professional services will also be considered.\n10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, or professional services environments, with progressive responsibility in operations, project coordination, or office leadership.\nDemonstrated experience working alongside engineering or technical teams, supporting project delivery, client coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.\nProven ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and support a positive, high-performing work environment.\nExperience with financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable/receivable, or project financial tracking.\nStrong understanding of project-based workflows, including proposals, contracts, scheduling, and deliverables.\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, technical staff, and leadership.\nHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with project management, accounting, or engineering-related software systems.\nAbility to think strategically, solve problems, and identify opportunities to improve processes and support office growth.\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for client meetings, project coordination, or regional collaboration.\nAbout Us\nAs Interstate Engineering celebrates 50 years, we’re proud of the legacy we’ve built and even more excited about what’s ahead.
