We’re looking to you to help us optimize our efforts in safety, quality and productivity. This involves applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to advance continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and products.\n\nHow you will do it\nDrive development and/or installation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods.Track labor, efficient manpower utilization and line balancing.\nRecommend most efficient distribution of manpower and review daily employee manpower, analyze plant methods and standards.\nPrepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates of new or revised methods and standards\nReview proposed changes in plant layout, processes, material handling, routing, etc.\nAnalyze production and non-production operations to determine those requiring study and develop new or improved methods and standards\nTrain production teams in Lean philosophy and specific tools (including but not limited to 5-S,\nQuick Changeover, Standardized Work)\nPlan and execute Lean workshops on the production floor following the Lean implementation plan and in conjunction with Plant Management approval\nImplement Best Business Practices as transferred between facilities with regards to Lean Manufacturing, including but not limited to Quick Changeover Procedures, Standardized Work procedures and/or 5-S action items.\nDevelop the skill set and knowledge base in Lean manufacturing of the front-line leaders and supervisors\nPerforms special studies and analyses at request of plant or Division Management.\nOvertime is required to meet internal and external customer requirements.\nPerforms other duties as assigned by Management\nNOTE: This is a general overview of the job duties, not a complete list of essential job functions.\n\nWhat we look for\nRequired:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering field\n2+ Years in Manufacturing Engineering\n2+ Years of experience on Lean/Six Sigma Principals\nPreferred\nLean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt certified\nBilingual (English/Spanish)\nWhat we do here\nOur Yuma, Arizona distribution center charges, packages, and ships the batteries used in cars, boats, and motorcycles. We opened in 2006, employ more than 180 people, and operate six days per week.
