Pleasant - on site with some remote flexibilitySalary: $75,000+ (based on experience)OverviewOur firm is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company to hire an experienced Manufacturing Accountant for a direct-hire, permanent role. This is not a contract or contract-to-hire position. The successful candidate will join the company's payroll from day one and receive a competitive compensation package with excellent, employer-paid benefits.This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with strong cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within metal fabrication, who enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls, and partnering with leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and monthly financial statementsManage accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirementsMaintain, analyze, and improve accounting records and financial reportsReconcile bank accounts and prepare cash flow reportsImplement rules-based automation for accounting systems, bank reconciliations, and approvalsReview, enhance, and maintain internal controls for AR, AP, Payroll, Inventory, and PurchasingReview and maintain the Chart of Accounts and implement company-wide accounting processesPrepare and submit tax filings, including sales/use tax and corporate income tax returnsAnalyze financial statements to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with management to support operational and financial decision-makingQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field8-10 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or similar environmentMetal fabrication experience strongly preferredExperience with QuickBooks Enterprise and/or QuickBooks OnlineStrong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and inventory accountingExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple prioritiesCompensation & BenefitsDirect-Hire / Permanent Full-Time Position401(k) Safe Harbor Plan - Employer contributes 3% regardless of employee contributionUPMC Gold PPO MCA Health PlanIncludes basic vision and dentalEmployer pays 100% of employee premium and contributes toward spouse/family coveragePaid Time Off (PTO): 2-3 weeks (negotiable)Flexible work schedule (negotiable)Competitive base salary starting at $75,000+, commensurate with experienceWhy This Role Stands OutLong-term stability with a growing manufacturing organizationDirect access to leadership and opportunity to improve processesStrong benefits with minimal out-of-pocket cost for employeesFlexibility rarely offered in manufacturing accounting rolesHow to ApplyQualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
