Operator","description":"POSITION: Shift Operator, Monitoring & Diagnostics\n\nLOCATION: Houston, TX (Hybrid remote work 50/50 Split)\n\nSTATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt\n\nJOB SUMMARY\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\nMonitor Gas Turbine and Auxiliary plant equipment as part of a 24-hour 7-day team based in one of our Monitoring and Diagnostic Center locations.\nWork with a variety of different heavy frame Gas Turbines and make recommendations on operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and follow a problem to the root cause.\nLeverage in-house GT experts (controls, performance, design, etc.) for assistance as required.\nUtilize AVEVA (OSIsoft) PI tools for monitoring, analysis and graphical representation of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and HRSG operations.\nContinue as a team to build a knowledge base of known issues and their indicators for reference for future troubleshooting.\nClearly communicate corrective actions to customers via e-mails and/or phone calls.\nRequired to be available to respond during working and non-working hours.\nFacilitate and actively work to ensure all documentation is correct, complete, timely, and recorded appropriately.\nAble to work a 24/7 rotational 5 shift 12-hour Dupont and overtime as necessary (Hybrid remote work scheduled as nights and weekends, at this time)\nHeavy focus on Gas Turbine operations specifically GE 7FA, GE7EA, SW501, and M501 units.\nShift operators will also be responsible for monitoring of Centrifugal Compressors use in the LNG industry with GTs as the prime movers.\nMust complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix\nCould require some elective travel time.\nOther duties as assigned\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\n\nEducation & Training\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent\n2-year Degree from technical/vocational school OR equivalent experience from Military, Power Generation, or LNG facilities.\nStrong computer competency including Microsoft Office, web-based applications (Pi Vision, SharePoint), remote desktop connections, VPN’s, cyber security, and navigating computer file/folder structures.\n\nSkills/Experience\n\n2+ years of working in Heavy Frame Power Plant environment or LNG Facility as an Operator, Technician, I&C, or in Engineering.\nWorking experience with GT control systems (GE, MHI, Ovation, and/or Siemens).\nKnowledge of general GT control philosophy, architecture, design, start up, and commissioning experience is preferred.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics.\nKnowledge of GT support systems and associated supervisory instrument limits and alarms levels.\nStrong computer skills including experience working with spreadsheets, databases, Process Information (PI) and word processing software.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExperience in Gas Turbine commissioning, operations, mechanical, and diagnostic experience.\nAbility to read and interpret Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) and Control Logic a plus.\nExperience with Nuovo Pignone centrifugal compressors, John Crane dry gas seals, dry gas seal systems, and Gas Turbine/Centrifugal control systems.\nMultilingual candidates (Spanish & Korean) are a plus\n\nEqual Opportunity
