{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"577495930006445c6a16d241","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/577495930006445c6a16d241","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/577495930006445c6a16d241","title":"CMBD Adminstrator","description":"Description:\nPosition Title: CMDB Administrator\nClearance: TS/SCI\nLocation: Springfield, VA\nJob Summary:\nThe Mid CMDB Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development, management, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the organizations ITIL framework.\nResponsibilities:\nConfigure and deploy ServiceNow Discovery across multiple networks to ensure comprehensive asset and service visibility.\nImplement and optimize Cloud Discovery to capture multi-cloud infrastructure components.\nPrepare and configure Service Mapping, ensuring application services are accurately represented in the CMDB.\nFine-tune Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules to prevent duplicate CI records and improve data integrity.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to define discovery schedules, credential requirements, and best practices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve discovery issues, ensuring proper data ingestion into the CMDB.\nWork with ITSM and CMDB teams to improve data accuracy and maintain alignment with ITIL best practices.\nProvide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.\nOther duties as assigned\nRequirements:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or\nAssociate’s Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or\nHigh School Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience\nHands-on experience with ServiceNow Cloud Discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nStrong understanding of Service Mapping principles and data modeling.\nExperience configuring and optimizing IRE rules for CI reconciliation.\nStrong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or JavaScript) for automation and troubleshooting.\nActive TS/SCI clearance\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to successfully obtain CI Poly\nKnowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, and infrastructure components.\nAbility to analyze and interpret large datasets within the CMDB.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.\n**Preferred - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or working towards a CMDB/Discovery certification.\nPreferred - Experience with ITSM and ITOM modules in ServiceNow.\nPreferred - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nAbility to think critically and solve complex issues\nAbility to work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure mission success\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
