Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you’ll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nIdentify, recommend, and implement process improvement opportunities where applicable\nDrive process improvements based on performance analysis and lessons learned\nProvide technical support regarding plant equipment, process efficiency, and plant wide safety\nRecommend and implement process improvements\nDevelop solutions and improvements to equipment and processes\nResponsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areas\nCollaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment\nWhat You'll Need\nMinimum of 5 years experience leading and driving manufacturing process improvements. Heavy industry experience a plus.\nExperience in Polymer extrusion, plastic additives, polymer testing, R&D experimentation and analysis is a plus\nPrior experience in successful implementation of lean manufacturing/5S and productivity improvement initiatives is required\nAbility to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills\nAbility to work with teams and different departments\nAbility to track, chart, and improve processes\nAbility to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals\nAble to communicate, verbally and written, with operators, supervisors, maintenance, suppliers, management, and plant support staff\nAble to prioritize, plan and drive issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to closure\nYour Education\nBachelor's degree in Engineering required.\nA degree in Science or Engineering (Polymer, Chemical, or Mechanical) is strongly preferred\n\nWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
