Provide technical expertise to solve design problems under limited supervision and manage projects according to the guidelines of the client.\n\nRequired:\n\nB.S. degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering required.\n\n5+ years of applicable experience required.\n\nMust have the Professional Engineer (PE) license.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nThe expected level of supervision of a candidate will be based on their years of experience and qualifications.\n\nParticipate in the design and evaluation of client transmission and distribution overhead power lines to ensure that the needs of the client are met in the most economical and effective manner.\n\nParticipate in Overhead Transmission & Distribution Design utilizing PLS-CADD™ software. Models are built from the ground up to minor revisions to existing models.\n\nReview engineering plans, specifications and equipment for utility projects.\n\nPrepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches.\n\nAssist in the continued development of both company and client standards to provide guidelines for future project planning and design.\n\nPerform basic functions of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.\n\nPerform other related duties incidental to the work described herein including project management functions related to work assigned.\n\nAt The Planet Group, we connect Engineering experts with opportunities that match their skills, goals, and ambition.
