This position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, food safety, production efficiency, and continuous product flow throughout the packaging process. Apply today!\n\nWrapper Operator Responsibilities:\n\nOperate and monitor the single-seal wrapper used to package finished pizza products\nSet up, operate, and adjust heat tunnel temperature, airflow, and conveyor speed to achieve proper shrink appearance and seal integrity\nLoad, thread, and replace packaging film as needed to maintain uninterrupted production\nMonitor product flow through the wrapper and heat tunnel to prevent jams, product damage, or packaging defects\nInspect wrapped pizzas for seal quality, shrink appearance, product placement, and overall package integrity\nMake real-time adjustments to wrapper and heat tunnel settings to maintain established quality standards\nIdentify, isolate, and report defective, damaged, or improperly wrapped products according to established procedures\nTroubleshoot minor equipment and packaging issues; notify maintenance personnel of mechanical problems requiring repair\nAccurately complete production, quality, downtime, and packaging-related documentation\nFollow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP requirements, food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and workplace safety policies\nCommunicate effectively with production, quality assurance, sanitation, and maintenance teams to support daily production goals\nAssist with line changeovers, equipment cleaning, and startup/shutdown procedures as required\n\nRequirements for Wrapper Operator:\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred\nPrevious experience operating packaging equipment, wrappers, heat tunnels, or similar manufacturing machinery preferred\nExperience working in a food manufacturing or food processing environment is a plus\nStrong attention to detail with a focus on product quality and food safety\nBasic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills\nAbility to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and safety guidelines\nAbility to accurately complete production and quality documentation\nEffective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment\nAbility to stand and work on a production line for extended periods\nAbility to frequently use hands and arms to operate equipment and handle packaging materials\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds\nManual dexterity and visual acuity required to inspect package quality and equipment performance\nAbility to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift\n\nIND041\n\nQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
