Community Education Prevention Initiative Birth to Three Supervisor JobID: 4132Position Type:COMMUNITY EDUCATION/EmployeeDate Posted:5/9/2023Location:Forest View Educational CenterDate Available:ImmediatelyClosing Date:Until FilledAdditional Information: Show/HideCommunity Education Prevention Initiative Birth to Three SupervisorASSIGNMENT: 12 month assignment; approximately 29 hours/week with occasional evenings and weekends.COMPENSATION: Based upon experienceJOB DESCRIPTION:Supervises the Prevention Initiative staff, including Home Visitors, and Program Assistant, and holds monthly staff meetings for administrative supervision.Conducts an individual caseload monitoring meeting quarterly.Ensures that PI staff are familiar with and have copies of required forms and materials as detailed in the grant and program requirements, and that they adhere to the outcomes, activities, and assessment methods in order to measure the progress of children;Ensures that staff enter all program interactions and forms in the NewOrg database on a timely basis.Ensures that children are entered and exited in SIS system as required, and on a timely basisMonitors the enrollment of PI families to ensure that the required number is maintained;Finalizes written transition plans implemented when a child has reached 2 years and 6 months of age, that are developed in partnership with the family and becomes part of the IFSP;Hires personnel and initiates personnel contracts and pay claim authorizations;Manages the program budget, including ordering supplies and approving professional developmentObserves and evaluates staff while they perform their program responsibilities;Coordinates and monitors the professional development needs assessment of PI staff;Engages in reflective supervision of each staff person and with each written, individualized professional development plan;Provides information and/or coordinates opportunities for professional development opportunities available through other agencies;Develops activities to support the professional development of PI staff, as needed;Directs orientation training for new staff;Completes the PI Compliance Checklist in preparation for the Monitoring visits and annual CIQP report;Serves on the Northwest Cook Community Agency Network (NWCAN), to build linkages with educational, health, & social service agencies to serve the target population;Develops the Toy and Book Lending Library/Parent Resource Center;Puts our strengthened, comprehensive family and community engagement plan into writing;Maintain family participation in the program advisory council to engage parents in an ongoing process of evaluation and feedback related to child and family learning;Gives presentations on the PI program, as requested;Attends PI and Baby Talk family education meetings, conferences, and workshops as appropriate;Coordinates promotional activities and updating of PI web page, Community Education Program Guide, flyers, newsletters, etc.Oversees the reporting to the Illinois State Board of Education;Ensures that program is compliant with all ISBE and Baby Talk requirementsProvides all needed information for preparing grant proposals, grant reports, and performs other tasks as requested, and communicates regularly with the Community Engagement Supervisor regarding the progress of the program toward the achievement of outcomes.Performs other tasks as requested by the Community Engagement Supervisor.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:BA or BS degree in Early Childhood Education or related fieldCertified by Baby TALK through the 4-day Baby TALK certification training, recertified bi-annually (after hire)Criminal History Background CheckValid driver's license, car insurance and access to automobile requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Early Childhood Education CertificationEnglish and Spanish bilingual proficiencyHolds current First Aid and CPR certificationsRelevant supervisory experience.APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Complete an online application and provide the following information:Letter of introduction.Resume listing experience, training and education.Letters of recommendation.Click on the RED "APPLY" button above to begin an online application."We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our district.
