AMTS is a dynamic and collaborative work environment that promotes excellence, and we are committed to investing in our staff’s long-term success.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\n\nThe Electrical Engineer will develop designs for building and equipment power distribution systems, lighting, and controls, focusing on cleanrooms and advanced laboratories.\n\nDesign and Engineering work may include the following:\nCampus or Site power sizing and distribution\nCleanroom and Laboratory Electrical Power sizing and distribution\nLighting and Controls\nExperience with instrumentation and controls for mechanical, electrical, and process is a plus\nElectromagnetic Interference (EMI) analysis, modeling, and abatement\nTel/Data systems\nUsing software such as SKM, Revit, Visual Lighting Studio, and others\nFeasibility Studies\nBasis of Design and Schematics\nPrepare or modify drawings/BIM models in conjunction with CAD/REVIT team at all stages of design\nResearch, create and update relevant product and system specifications, to meet technical needs of the client.\nMonitor and coordinate interdisciplinary work for compliance to applicable electrical codes, accepted engineering practices and standards. Apply NEC, IBC and NFPA Electrical requirements to lab designs.\nBudget review and cost estimating\nConstruction Administration including RFI and Submittal responses\nTroubleshooting/Consulting/Site Assessments\nUser or Technical group discussions to evaluate overall and specific power needs.\nSome travel will be required\n\nPosition Requirements\n\nRequired\n\n10 – 15 years of progressive Electrical Engineering and leadership experience.\nExperience leading a technical team\nExperience developing staff capabilities, techniques and tools\nExperience using Electrical Analysis and Design Software to complete assigned work: Examples: SKM, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Visual Lighting Studio or equivalent lighting design software.\nKnowledge of sub-station and building switchgear design and operations\nKnowledge of Instrumentation and Controls engineering\nWritten and oral communication (English language) skills including specification writing, field reports, general and keynotes, submittal reviews, and email.\nComfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.\nKnowledge of Short Circuit Analysis, Fault Current Analysis.
