You will build reusable platform capabilities and data products that let quantitative researchers discover, access, and consume data across a complex, disparate landscape, and then accelerate the good prototypes to production.\nThis is a contractor position.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, build, and enhance platform capabilities within Databricks and related technologies.\n\nBuild reusable data products and self-service capabilities.\n\nDesign and maintain data pipelines and integration frameworks.\n\nImprove data quality, reliability, lineage, and monitoring.\n\nAccelerate research-to-production delivery: prototype solutions alongside researchers; establish patterns that make productionization easier and faster; reduce friction between research and engineering workflows.\n\nSkills\n\nMust have\n\n8+ years of platform and data solutions experience\n\nHands-on Databricks experience (workspace, notebooks, jobs) and building platform capabilities\n\nPython\n\nSQL\n\nModern CI/CD, IaC (Terraform strongly preferred)\n\nData Governance and observability (Unity Catalog, lineage, monitoring)\n\nOrchestration (Airflow)\n\nAI fluency: use of AI agents (Claude Code preferred) as a primary tool to design, build, test, and support solutions\n\nNice to have\n\nFinancial domain experience, especially quant research\n\nAPI development\n\nPowerBI\n\nOther\n\nLanguages\n\nEnglish: B2 Upper Intermediate\n\nSeniority\n\nSenior\nLos Angeles, United States of America\n\nReq.
