The Application Developer will apply deep functional expertise, world class client handling skills, and expert technical skills to support our clients in implementing global technology change initiatives. This individual will develop and support industry leading technology solutions for our client’s needs. The Application Developer will work alongside employees, managers and top executives to improve information technology which supports multiple areas and functionalities within our client’s organizations. The Application Developer will work with senior management to develop decision making tools and technologies that will dramatically increases the performance of our clients business. The individual in this role will use mentoring skills to effectively aid in implementing new technologies and train the end users.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nTechnical\nExecute all aspects of predictive modeling and other analytic initiatives to address business challenges.\nDesign and develop data warehouses, dashboards, scorecards, schedule reports, ad hoc queries, and decision support.\nBe able to anticipate issues and resolve data problems.\nPerform data preparation, including extraction of target data from multiple databases, integration of multiple datasets, creation of derived variables, application of business rules, and quality control checks.\nQueries data to conduct analysis of metrics.\nProvides recommendations on the appropriate tools and techniques to perform analysis.\nServes as a technology resource.\nIntegrate clients global change initiatives by working with all levels within our clients company.\nDirects technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.\nCompletes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.\nVerifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.\nPreserves assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures, information security and control structures.\nRecommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.\nMaintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending training workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nOther duties as assigned.\nProjects\nAnalyze organizational data requirements and create logical and physical models of data flow.\nProvide business analysis, business area assessment, and user needs analysis for major projects.\nInterview key stakeholders, document findings, and make detailed recommendations.\nCommunicate analysis results and make recommendations to senior management.\nBusiness\nPresent a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire.\nAssist with the development of client information management standards and evaluation of technology trends.\nContribute to business area assessment, user needs analysis and business systems design.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nCandidates for the Application Developer position must possess a strong background in all aspects of database technology with an emphasis on the use of analytical reporting tools. This professional must possess excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities. The Application Developer should have a solid understanding of business functional areas, business management issues, and data analysis.
