In addition to technical acumen, we highly value leadership skills as we believe innovation thrives when developers take initiative to make great software.\n\nThis position will be a member of our radar simulation team, which develops Radar Toolkit (RTK) product, Aechelon Technology's industry-leading radar simulation application, based in our Farmers Branch, TX office (near Dallas). This role will be paired with a Mentor who will assist in developing new technologies to improve Aechelon's products. This role will have the opportunity to contribute to Aechelon's shipping products and therefore make a lasting impact on our Company and our end users.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nResponsible for developing and maintaining application-level software that simulates airborne radar systems and other sensors for use in a variety of training devices. The software is written in the C++ programming language on Windows and Linux platforms.\nResponsible for performing tasks related to the following areas:\nSoftware Design\nSoftware Implementation\nTechnical Documentation\nTeam Collaboration\nSoftware Integration and Testing\n\nEXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:\n\nIn-depth knowledge and experience programming in C/C++ languages\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work with export-controlled technology\n\nDESIRED COMPETENCIES\n\nTechnical Expertise:\nStrong foundation in mathematics and physics\nKnowledge of radar technology and signal processing\nExperience with OpenGL and graphics application programming\nBackground in real-time, multi-processing systems\nFamiliarity with tools for geographic data processing (e.g. KML, vector files, digital elevation models, satellite imagery)\nDevelopmental Tools & Practices\nExperience with defect tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira)\nProficiency with configuration management tools (Preforce, Git)\nAbility to write clear and concise technical documentation\n\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS\n\nNone\n\nREQUIRED EDUCATION, ELIGIBILITY AND EXPERIENCE:\n\nAt least two years progress towards a B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field\n\nThis position description is not intended to be a complete listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee holding this position.
