The Superintendent will maintain a continuous on-site presence during active construction and will oversee daily operations to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the contract requirements, approved plans, specifications, and project schedule.\nPrimary Responsibilities Manage and coordinate all daily field operations for milling, excavation, aggregate base replacement, asphalt paving, drainage improvements, shoulder construction, striping, signage, railroad crossing work, and associated civil construction activities.\nPlan, sequence, and supervise the work of subcontractors, suppliers, equipment operators, and field personnel to maintain efficient project progress while minimizing impacts to govt client operations.\nCoordinate daily activities with the Government's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Quality Control Manager, Site Safety and Health Officer (QCM/SSHO), utility representatives, testing agencies, and subcontractors.\nImplement the approved construction schedule and prepare short-term look-ahead schedules to ensure timely completion of all project milestones.\nVerify that labor, equipment, and materials are available to support planned construction activities and proactively resolve field conflicts or resource constraints.\nCoordinate traffic control operations, site access, work-zone protection, and construction phasing in accordance with the approved Traffic Control Plan and project requirements.\nReview drawings, specifications, Requests for Information (RFIs), and approved submittals with field personnel to ensure work is performed in accordance with contract requirements.\nMonitor daily production rates, labor utilization, equipment performance, and subcontractor productivity while implementing corrective actions as necessary to maintain schedule.\nCoordinate layout and survey activities and verify field measurements prior to construction.\nOversee material deliveries, storage, handling, and protection of Government property throughout the project.\nParticipate in quality control inspections and ensure deficiencies identified during preparatory, initial, or follow-up inspections are promptly corrected.\nSupport implementation of the Site Safety and Health Plan and ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA requirements, project-specific safety procedures, and established work practices.\nConduct daily coordination meetings with field personnel and subcontractors to review planned work activities, sequencing, safety requirements, and operational constraints.\nMaintain daily construction reports documenting manpower, equipment, production quantities, weather conditions, deliveries, inspections, testing activities, and significant project events.\nEnsure housekeeping, environmental controls, erosion and sediment control measures, and protection of adjacent facilities remain in compliance throughout construction.\nSupport project closeout activities, including punch list completion, final inspections, as-built documentation, and turnover of completed work.\nMinimum Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience supervising heavy civil, roadway, pavement rehabilitation, or Design-Build construction projects of similar size and complexity.\nExperience on Federal, DoD, FBI, or other secure Government construction projects is preferred.\nThorough knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements, quality control procedures, and construction sequencing.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.\nStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nProficient in preparing daily reports, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining project
