Job DescriptionPosition Title: Assistant Principal of InstructionPosition Hours: Full-time, extended workdays, and occasional weekendsReports to: Campus PrincipalPosition MissionThe Assistant Principal of Instruction at Jubilee Academies plays a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the campus. This position is responsible for coaching teachers, overseeing data-driven instruction, monitoring student progress, and supporting the implementation of College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) strategies. The role ensures instructional excellence through frequent classroom observation, lesson internalization support, and weekly data meetings. The Assistant Principal also plays a key role in student recruitment, attendance improvement efforts, and overall student retention.Position Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Education or related field (Required)Texas Educator Certificate (Required)Principal or Mid-Management Certification (Preferred)Minimum of 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience (Required)Leadership experience in instructional coaching or team lead capacity (Preferred)Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesInstructional LeadershipLead weekly instructional planning and lesson internalization meetings to support standards-aligned, rigorous instruction.Conduct frequent classroom observations and provide actionable feedback aligned to campus and district instructional goals.Provide professional development and coaching to teachers based on campus instructional priorities and student outcome data.Support implementation of the district's curriculum with fidelity, including strategies for special populations such as SPED and ELL students.Collaborate with the Principal to ensure fidelity in PLC structures, instructional walkthroughs, and progress monitoring cycles.Data-Driven InstructionFacilitate weekly student data meetings to analyze assessment results, progress monitor student growth, and plan interventions.Maintain systems for tracking student achievement and identify at-risk students for tiered interventions.Collaborate with teachers to develop and monitor individualized student support plans.CCMR OversightMonitor College, Career, and Military Readiness indicators and ensure students are on track for graduation requirements.Collaborate with CCMR Advisor and instructional teams to provide students with postsecondary awareness and support.Ensure compliance with TEA accountability expectations related to CCMR.Student Recruitment, Attendance & RetentionSupport Principal with student recruitment events and community outreach efforts.Partner with campus registrar and Special Programs Coordinator to monitor and improve student daily attendance.Implement strategies and systems to promote student retention through strong relationships and wraparound support.Campus SupportServe as a key member of the campus leadership team, helping to ensure all operational and instructional initiatives are implemented with fidelity.Participate in hiring, onboarding, and supporting new teachers.Ensure alignment of teacher practices with district expectations for rigor and equity.Support student discipline, as needed, in partnership with the Principal.Special Knowledge/SkillsDeep knowledge of instructional best practices and the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Strong data analysis and intervention planning skillsAbility to provide effective coaching and facilitate adult learningSkilled at planning and implementing high-impact professional developmentEffective communication, collaboration, and organization skillsFamiliarity with CCMR and accountability indicators under the A–F frameworkProficiency with student data platforms and Microsoft Office/Google SuiteCharter And Community ResponsibilitiesUphold and promote the mission, vision, and values of Jubilee AcademiesActively support student recruitment, parent engagement, and community partnership initiativesMaintain strong relationships with students, families, and staff to support a culture of belonging and excellenceWorking ConditionsMental DemandsMaintain emotional control under stressWork with frequent deadlines and interruptionsPhysical Demands/Environmental FactorsProlonged periods sitting or standingOccasional lifting/carrying (15–45 lbs)Frequent walking, talking, computer use, and drivingOccasional travel between campusesOtherAdhere to the staff dress code.Maintains a good working relationship with Jubilee Academies' staffCompile, maintain, and fill all reports, records, and other documents required.Actively stays abreast of new developments in education.The foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.
