The Salem site has 12 distinct product lines serving some of the world’s most recognizable brands in both the commercial and defense markets. Our product portfolio includes Xenon flashlamps, Xenon flashlamp systems, high-energy switching devices, high-voltage power supplies and rubidium atomic frequency standards.\nWe are presently seeking an Electrical Test Engineer that will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and evaluating High Voltage Power Supplies in a production environment. This position is key to the performance of our High Voltage Power Product Line. Our Power Supplies are used in many applications. Typical applications are detection and screening of luggage and cargo, aesthetic lasers, curing of materials, 3-D printing, and many other industrial and medical applications.\nMain responsibilities:\nSelects, sets up test equipment, and conducts tests required for production testing per work instructions.\nUses Oscilloscopes and product specific equipment to perform Compliance Testing and burn-in conditioning of high voltage power supplies.\nTroubleshoots product and or equipment issues under the direction of senior level test technician/engineers.\nTests and evaluates customer returned merchandise. Works with engineering to recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence. May also help in the generation of failure analysis reports.\nMakes preliminary routine evaluations and advises Engineering of test findings and quality concerns. May offer suggestions for changes in test procedures to improve operations.\nConducts and prepares test data to aid engineering in completing or evaluating product.\nMust have the ability to set up test equipment, and conducts electrical tests required for production testing per work instructions.\nMust have the ability to clearly read and interpret all work instructions\nMust have strong organizational skills, computer skills, and experience with Windows/MS Office.\nMeet throughput requirements on a daily basis, depending on product complexity.\nRequirements:\nRequires an Associate’s Degree, specialized training in Electronics.\nMust have 5+ years electrical testing experience or equivalent training and/or experience.\nAwareness and comfort with voltage levels and current levels, i.e. voltages from 14KV to 160 KV.\nAbility to clearly read and interpret all work instructions\nStrong organizational skills, computer skills, and experience with Windows/MS Office.\nAllocates time and resources efficiently, focusing on ever-shifting priorities, continually seeks way to improve individual/team efficiency through multitasking.\nWorking knowledge of High Voltage Power Supplies.\nEffectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization verbally and in writing.\nAbility to stand and work for at least 8 hours a day\nMust be able to lift a 20 pound High Voltage Power supply while installing and removing the power supply from test kit and/or burn-in chamber. Must be able occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
